You Are A Star

This uses the CTMH set Star Struck (D1237, $22.95).

Christmas Ideas

Happy

I made this card at a Stampin' Up workshop. I markered each happy a different color and then stamped the image. It was hard to line it up right and took several tries (I don't like wood stamps!).

Playful Petals

These are from a card exchange. It uses the CTMH Playful Petals set (C1288--$18.95). This set was also used for the Thanksgiving turkey card.

Thanksgiving

This is a close to my heart card. I'm thinking of using the turkey on place setting cards for Thanksgiving dinner. Shel had us use a brad and a photo clip for the the beak and waddle--much easier than trying to cut one out. I ordered the playful petals set this month so hopefully it will get her in time!

Stamp Camp, Stamp Club, Card Class

I've really gotten into stamping and card making. It will probably end up being my tactile creative release since I'm trying to start exclusively digi-scrapping. My wonderful, supportive husband (mostly) supports this little hobby of mine. I attend a card class once a month. I'm the enrichment leader in my ward and this activity tends to be one of the better attended ones. My friend Kim runs it and comes up with pretty cute ideas each month. They tend to be fairly simple cards so that anyone can feel comfortable coming and making them.

I belong to a Stamp Club by Close to My Heart. We meet once a month and take turns hosting. We're committed to spend $20 per month before taxes and when it's our turn to host, we get to reap the benefits of free product. This month was my turn to host and so far my party is at $660 which means I get $120 in free product and 2 items at 50% off. I went through the catalog last night with my good friend Sarah and picked out the stuff I wanted. A lot of it was boring--accessories cases and such but I did find 3 great stamp sets and 2 stamp pad sets. At stamp club we tend to do cards that are a bit more "difficult" than the ones at card class. Shel is the consultant and she comes up with great ideas. She also teaches us a new technique or two each month. This month we used the water color pen and experimented with a chipboard frame.

I also participate in various Stamp Camp events my friend Stacey does with Stampin' Up. This past Saturday was a Christmas card class and I made 20 cards. It was such a relaxing few hours to sit and chat with new people and make some Christmas cards (now I have less to make later!)

Digital Scrapbooking

These are the pages I did today. I've spent the past few days downloading lots of free goodies. I have a pretty simple scrapbook style and it's nice to see how much I can get accomplished. I like that I can resize my pictures so easily! It will be interesting to see how they turn out once they've been printed.
